Frequently asked questions.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Riders that are registered in the day camps are required to bring a bagged lunch and water bottle. During the hot weather bug spray and sunscreen is also recommended.

Also, be sure to fill out the online Waiver Form for your child(ren) before you bring your child to class.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR FOR HORSEBACK RIDING?

To make your experience safe, comfortable and fun it is best to wear fitted jeans or long pants. Shorts are not recommended as they offer no protection for your legs from the potential rubbing and pinching of the saddle. Please refrain from wearing jewelry and loose fitting clothing that can get caught while working around your horse.

Approved riding helmets are the most important piece of equipment that are provided if you do not have. Proper footwear is also essential and must have a ½”-1” heel which will prevent your foot from slipping through the stirrup. Boots are provided for day camps only if needed.

HOW OLD DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE TO ATTEND?

The age at which a child is ready to take riding lessons  will depend on the individual. Every child matures differently, which is taken into consideration. Ages 4-12 is what the program is geared towards and will depend if your child is ready to follow instruction to remain safe.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

Due to the nature of weather related activities, day camps continue rain or shine. There are a lot of unmounted activities to take place. You also have the option to move your child to another day where there is availability. There are no refunds.
